In the Maldivian language “ranveli” means “GOLDEN SAND”, having acquired the name for its large, seasonally adjusting tounge of white sand on which the setting sun is romantically reflected. Snorkeling among its fragile ecosystem, among an abundance of multicolored tropical fish and rich coral environment is indeed an unforgettable experience. It was precisely for this scintillating beauty that a famous Arab traveler Ibn Battuta described the Maldives as “Gods Floating Paradise on His Earth”.
