Day 1 Colombo
Arrival at the Colombo International Airport, Katunayake.
Meet, Assist and transfer to Colombo.
Upon arrival in Colombo check in at Havelock Place Bungalow.
Evening commence a sightseeing tour in Colombo.
Drive through for and Pettah – the busy commercial area, visit
a Hindu temple, Cinnamon gardens - residential area,
drive past the Town Hall, Independence square, BMICH –
International Convention Centre.
Afterwards return to your bungalow.
Overnight : Havelock Bungalow, Colombo
Day 2 Colombo/ Sigiriya
Breakfast at the bungalow.
After breakfast leave for Polonnaruwa and commence a sightseeing tour.
Polonnaruwa was the capital from the 11th to the 13th century AD the most famous site of Polonnaruwa is the Gal Viharaya which consists of granite statues of lord Buddha.
This part of our journey will take us through some of Sri Lanka’s most scenic locations. Visit the ruins of the Audience Hall, Council Chamber, The Royal Citadel, The Kumara Pokuna (Pond), Royal Pavillion, Siva Dewale, The Thuparama, The Vatadage Relic House, Kiriwehera, Gal Vihare, With some of the most impressive sculptures & the reservoirs.
Thereafter leave to your hotel in Sigiriya.

Day 3 Sigiriya/Kandy
Breakfast at the bungalow.
After breakfast climb the rock fortress, built by King Kassapa in the 5th century A.D. and was a Royal Citadel for more than 18 years. The lion rock is a citadel of unusual beauty, rising 200 metres from the scrub jungle. The base of the rock is ringed by a moat and rampart and extensive gardens including the renowned water gardens. See the world famous frescoes of the “Heavenly maidens” of Sigiriya in a sheltered pocket of the rock.
Continue to drive to Kandy.
Enroute visit Spice Garden and Batik Factory.
Upon arrival in Kandy check in your hotel.
Later afternoon visit Temple Of Tooth Relic of “The Buddha” and continue to the venue where a cultural pageant would take place and witness this event as well as a fire walking display
Overnight : Manor House, Kandy
Day 4 Kandy
Breakfast at the bungalow.
After breakfast commence a sightseeing tour in Kandy.
Drive past the picturesque University Campus premises and with a visit to the Market Place, an arts & crafts show room. Then drive along the Upper Lake road to get a panoramic view of the Kandy Lake and its environs.
Also visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, where a rare collection of tropical exotic and indigenous flora can be viewed and also the famous Orchid House.
Afterwards return to your hotel.
Rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight : Manor House, Kandy
Day 5 Nuwara Eliya
Breakfast at the bungalow.
After breakfast leave for Pinnawela and visit Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage near Kegalle. Here you can view the baby elephants being fed with milk etc., after feeding of the Elephants they will be taken by foot to nearby river for their daily bath.
Afterwards leave for Nuwara Eliya.Enroute visit a Tea Factory and a Tea Estate.
At the tea factory witness the process of manufacture of tea from plucking of the green leaves to packeting of the processed tea which is mainly meant for export markets.
Upon arrival in Nuwara Eliya commence a sightseeing tour.
Visit the Nuwara-Eliya Town, Market place, Golf Course, the hill club, and drive around this hill station viewing Lake Gregory.
Overnight : St Andrews Tea Plantation Bungalow, Talawakelle, Nuwara Eliya
Day 6 Nuwara Eliya
Breakfast at the bungalow.
Early morning leave the bungalow with packetted breakfast for an excursion to Horton Plains by a private jeep.
Horton plains is a strict nature reserve, the highest plateau in Sri Lanka. Nature lovers will love this wide, Patna-grass covered plain, the haunt of several wild yet harmless animals and the home for many species of birds. ‘Bride’ paths through the plains will take you to the precipice, popularly referred to as Worlds End, a sheer drop of 1050 metres. The view when it is clear of mist is magnificent. And also visit Baker’s falls in Horton plains.
Return to your bungalow.
At leisure in the afternoon.
Overnight : St Andrews Tea Plantation Bungalow, Talawakelle, Nuwara Eliya
Day 7 Nuwara Eliya/ Haputhale
Breakfast at the bungalow.
After breakfast leave for the railway station to get in to the train to go to Haputhale
After ending the picturesque train trip get down from Haputhale. Afterwards drive to your bungalow.
Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 8 Haputhale/ Bentota
Breakfast at the bungalow.
After breakfast leave for Bentota.Enroute stop at Uda Walawe for a jeep safari at Uda Walawe National Park was designated in 1972 to offer a refuge to migratory elephants, herds as large as 200 have been seen in this park and as wild habitat around it has been lost to cultivation, it has also become a sanctuary for many other mammals, including toque monkey, grey langur, spotted deer, wild pig, leopard and sambur.
Also "Udawalawe" is one of the best parks for bird watching; the endemic species of bird called Red Faced Maloha has its favorite habitat in the 192 square km parkland, Serpent Eagles, Black Capped Bulbuls, Racket Tailed Drongos, Malabar Pied Horn Bills, As many as 100 bird species may be spotted here in a single day. Uda Walawe is particularly rich in raptor species, among them white-bellied sea eagle, crested serpent eagle and changeable hawk eagle.
After finishing the safari continue to drive to Bentota for your beach stay.
