Hatton

Hatton is a cosy picturesque town located in the central highlands of Sri Lanka, in the Nuwara Eliya District of the Central Province. Sitting around 4,170 ft above sea level, it is known for its cool climate and tea plantations. The tea produced here is considered some of the finest in the world and is exported globally.

Enjoy a visit to a tea factory and learn about the fascinating history and production of tea. Not far away, perched above the reservoir, discover a quaint historical church constructed by the British in 1878, which is home to the first bible that was brought into the country. Surrounded by hiking trails, stunning waterfalls and scenic lakes Hatton is a magical little town that is close to some interesting places to see, some of the nearby attractions are Devon Falls, St. Clair’s Falls, Adams Peak, Castlereagh Reservoir and even the famed World’s End just a couple of hours away.
